Europe: Czech diary

Whilst Paris is for the hopelessly romantic soul, Prague may be the lad-ish side of Europe. Where the new town is separated from the older quarters, spending just one day here would not suffice. For the wanderer at heart, one can easily spend an entire day in the Old Town.

Cross the Charles Bridge (after snapping as many sights as you can, of course), you will be greeted by alleys after alleys of shops, be it souvenirs or restaurants or even just stand alone shops selling chimney cake. Be warn that at bridge can get crowded by musicians, artists and other tourists and so, pickpockets may be preying on unsuspecting victims. Keep all valuables at your accommodation or close to you.

The Old Town Hall also has an astronomical clock that is crafted to portray life and death amidst telling the months and days of the year. It is hard to miss the massive Prague castle that used to house the Czech monarchies once upon a time. From here, it is only a short walking distance to St. Vitus’s cathedral where previous Czech kings lie to rest and where the royal jewels are secretively hidden away.

Without further ado, feast your eyes on snippets of this trip. As always, time was never on our side for further explorations.
